Aging in Place in Style
A coveted location on the Crescent, indoor parking, security and elevator access, made this condo the perfect next step. The space was large, but dated; the kitchen was small and dark; the long, narrow sunroom felt separate from the living area and was nicknamed the “bowling alley.” The kitchen was opened to the dining room, the connection between the living room and sunroom was widened, and sunroom was shortened giving the master bedroom a lounge area. Finishes and lighting were updated throughout. The bespoke sectional sofa was fabricated with the seat height, depth and firmness to suit. Subtle additions to the en suite add function without sacrificing style: a hard-wired, illuminated magnifying mirror; a higher vanity counter; bright lighting on dimmers; lever handles; shower head on a slide-bar; handshower in the bath; anti-slip tiles; and beautifully detailed grab bars.
