Fabulous Transitional
With their children in middle school, our clients wanted a larger home with more space to entertain. They wanted a transitional style with some modern elements. All spaces were to be efficient and clutter-free, with plenty of storage space. It was to be elegant, stately and luxurious; yet durable and easy to maintain. They wanted a home that was cozy and comfortable for their family; yet light, open and spacious. Main floor spaces are delineated by a grid of columns and beams, and highlighted by large pendant lights. We detailed the white woodwork, selecting stock moldings to avoid the upcharge of custom. All floor tile is stone-look porcelain, to provide the glamour of natural stone with ease of maintenance. Engineered hardwood flooring was on the must-have list. The matt finish will help to conceal wear.
